This piece has a special story—it started as a commission for my cousin, and I ended up painting two versions when they couldn’t decide on which reference to go with, each taking about 30 hours to complete. Working in acrylics but using a glaze medium, I approached it much like an oil painting to achieve a luminous sheen and depth.
