Inner workings Original Acrylic and spray paint on 18 x 24 inch canvas painted with non dominant hand by Bristol UK Artist Chris Shopland

£160.00

For those who follow me on instagram you may have seen I have a repetitive strain injury in the hand I use for art, and so I thought it was a good opportunity to begin training the other side. I already had this sketched out on the canvas (usually I paint in bold shapes but sometimes I loosely sketch it with paint marker ) and then completed with my right hand months later when the left was out of action for a few months. I wouldn’t have been able to do this until quite recently with approaching art as being my life. I can make the hand do what I want, be it a bit slower.

This is a vibrant weird pierce which will be many a conversation starter around the nature of our programming and whether we are on auto pilot from our cultures and society or if we truly are being ourselves. What is within our wiring?
