This painting turned out a little strange, but that’s what makes it special—it has a unique character all its own. In a way, I’ve created an entirely new kind of cat.
Inspired by my beloved childhood cat, (The Prince of) Purrsha (Persia), who was with me from the age of 14, living at parents house when I moved out, until his passing at 21.5 years old in September 2022. He was more like a dog than a cat, always following people around, meowing when left alone, and even needing the radio on when we went out so the neighbours wouldn’t hear him! Now I have a dog who is much like a cat.
This artwork is a tribute to his unforgettable presence—a cat full of personality, loyalty, and love.
