The World is ending So I made myself this fish hat original acrylic 16 x 20 canvas board; stylised abstract easter island like head wearing fish bowl and fish for a hat

from £265.00

This abstract idea appeared out of seemingly, nowhere—poof!—and then I went all in, using several references for the fish and fishbowl, easter island heads, stylising the heck out of them.

The title? Oh, that came much later. I’m ridiculously proud of it, but let’s be real—the quicker a painting sells, the worse the name tends to be. I do love a good title playing into the visual. Words take me much longer but its fun when the right name comes along.

Life, with all its relentless chaos, has shaped me into a delightfully cynical human. I didn’t ask to exist, but hey, since I’m here, I might as well enjoy it. Painting is my way of doing that… though honestly, maybe knitting a plush fishbowl and a matching fish coming out of it hat is the real way to spend our time.

The world is ending! (Okay, maybe not literally, but with war, poverty, and hatred still raging on, it sure feels like it.) Look for the helpers, the sparks of human spirit. And if we are going down, we might as well have fun—and wear our fish hats!!
